XRPN’s first day

Evernorth Holdings, the XRP treasury company backed by Ripple, began trading on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN on Monday after closing its SPAC merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II on 9 Oct.

The shares opened at $16.68, rose as high as $19.39, fell to $16.39 and closed at $16.91, down 1.05% on the previous close, with about 1.29 million shares traded, according to Yahoo Finance data.

Evernorth says it holds about 473 million XRP and about $300 million in gross cash proceeds, per its 9 Oct release. At XRP’s Kraken price of $1.36 at 12:30 UTC, that XRP is worth about $644 million. Holders redeemed 80.3% of the SPAC’s public shares before closing. The company also named former Coinbase Asset Management co-CIO Hugo Jeandesboz to run its investment strategy, FXStreet reported.

Evernorth plans to ring the Nasdaq closing bell on Wednesday, 14 Oct.
