CME Group’s new Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures take effect on Sunday 18 Oct for trade date Monday 19 Oct, the exchange said in a filing with the CFTC.
The standard BCH contract covers 250 BCH and the Micro contract 25 BCH. The UNI contracts cover 10,000 UNI and 1,000 UNI, according to CME’s 22 Sep announcement. The exchange codes are BCA, MCH, UNI and MUN, the filing shows.
All four contracts are cash-settled. Final settlement uses CME CF reference rates, which CF Benchmarks calculates from trades on major spot exchanges between 15:00 and 16:00 London time, according to the filing. CME published position limits and reportable levels for the contracts in a 14 Oct notice.
“As crypto markets continue to mature, participants require broader, regulated tools to navigate evolving digital asset related price risk,” Giovanni Vicioso, CME’s global head of cryptocurrency products, said in the announcement.
The contracts join CME’s single-asset futures on bitcoin, ether, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche and Sui, the exchange said. Its crypto futures and options averaged 279,800 contracts a day in the first half of 2026, about $8.3 billion in notional value, CME said. JPMorgan analysts said on 8 Oct that CME futures positioning rose in the third quarter, as CryptoWatchDesk reported.
What the tokens did

UNI was trading at $7.11 and BCH at $271.99 as of 13:45 UTC on Sunday, according to CoinGecko. That leaves UNI below its pre-announcement level and BCH close to it. For how leveraged futures positions get closed out, see how futures liquidations work.
